  1. The journal idea is really cool. Katie and I will be welcoming our first child - a daughter - this coming May, so maybe I better get on top of that.

Love the big brother shirt. Friggin' awesome.

  4. Hi! I found your blog through the Chandlers and just wanted to tell you what an amazing blessing that journal will be to your children. I'm a freshman in college right now, and the day I moved in my dorm my dad gave me a huge journal he'd been writing me since I was 5. It was full of prayers, life lessons, encouragement, updates about chapters of life...and tears stream down my cheeks every time I read it. Although he's 9 hours away from me, his wisdom is at my fingertips, whether its about dating, the Lord, or simply reading about a sweet memory in my life that may have faded with time.

Keep it up for your sweet kids...it is absolutely my most prized possession.

Oh- and a tip...(with the more kids you have) he would handwrite specific notes to each of us in our respective journals, then if he wanted to write all of us at once he'd type a letter and tape it in each journal.

I see that you started writing it in college before you had kids. That is SO awesome and encourages me to start!

    Blessings!
