We had an incredible week at Moon River Ranch with the staff. We laughed a lot, rested, read, played football (our team won the 2007 Krapu Bowl), ate really well, watched The Office, worshiped together, made S'mores and saw a blanket of stars each night that we usually don't see in the city. I only took pictures of the stars and S'mores makin', so you'll have to trust me with the other stuff. Each of these pictures were taken at night between 10:00pm & midnight. The shutter stayed open for close to a minute for each pic so it took in all the moonlight making it look like daytime. It was a lot of fun, but having to wait for each of these shots in the cold weather we had each night was tough! Here are some of those pic's...
Caleb is waving a flaming marshmallow.
I liked what happened with the ambers and the open shutter here.
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. -Isaiah 40:26

That looks like a lot of fun although the fire-side photos looks "Lord-Of-The-Flies-esque." Just kidding, glad you all had a great time.

aww! so much fun!! i love that verse and your photos.
Heres the deal Michael...pick one thing and be amazing at it...it isnt fair to the rest of the world that you are a gifted worship leader, talented photographer, and have ruggedly-outdoorsman good looks....
flattery at its finest:)

Yeah I need a copy of that pic with the house and the stars..to hang somewhere...I don't know where yet, but that is cool. And I'm not kidding about needing a copy....I'll take that as payment....you can sign it too. =)
Those are some great pictures!
There is nothing like a stroll down a country lane at evening time. Betty and I have had those moments to walk in the "cool of the day." Looking at those last scenes reminded me of those times and the words of Genesis 3:8 - "They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day." I pray we never will hid ourselves from His presence and the sound of His walking in our midst. The bright lights of this world and the abundance of noise are constant foes. Thanks for sharing those great photos. At times pictures can be greater than words.
